The Embassy of Brazil in Tirana announces that a competition will be held to recruit 1 (one) Support Assistant, as a COOK, for the official residence of the Brazilian ambassador in Tirana, open only to Brazilian citizens, Albanians or resident foreigners, in accordance with the provisions of Law 11.440 / 06, in Decree 1.570/95 and in the regulation of the Ministerial Ordinance of 12.09.95 / MRE, and in accordance with the requirements of this Notice.

Duties and Obligations

• The candidate selected for the Support Assistant position must work as a COOK, performing tasks relevant to his role and, eventually, at official receptions, whether at the official residence, at the chancery or in any location determined for the event.

Requirements

The candidate must demonstrate the following prerequisites:

• Ability to express oneself, preferably in English, Portuguese or Spanish;
• Proof of registration with the local social security system;
• Additional points will be awarded to those who demonstrate fluency in Portuguese, Spanish or Italian;
• Legal residence in Albania and permission to work, in the case of non-Albanians;
• Good criminal and police attendants;
• Medical fitness, proven by medical certificate;
• Minimum age of 18 years;
• Brazilian nationals must prove their electoral status and mandatory military service (men only) and cannot be employed in the Brazilian public service.

Registration

Candidates must send the following documents to the Embassy by email [email protected], (scanned copies), or by post or in person (printed copies):

a) Duly completed application form (to be made available on the Embassy website from September 15th, 2026 to September 24th, 2026);

b) Copy of identity card or passport;

c) 1 photo

d) Curriculum vitae;

e) Optional documents: cover letter, proof of linguistic competence at proficiency level, school certificate and any other relevant academic and professional qualifications.

The form and other documents required for registration (paragraphs 2 and 3 above) must be submitted from September, 15th, by 1:00 pm, to 24th. September, 2026. Only candidates who present all required documents will be considered. Registration by email to: [email protected];

Selection Process

Phase 1.

Candidates who meet the registration requirements listed in paragraphs 2 and 3 will be pre-selected through analysis of documents and information provided.

Phase 2

Candidates accepted in phases 1 and 2 will be interviewed. Interviews will be conducted in English, Portuguese or Spanish, according to the candidate's proficiency and evaluated on their skills and may be called upon for a practical demonstration. The selected candidate will be informed, by e-mail, of the day and time on which they must attend the Embassy for the interview.

Phase 3

The candidate ranked first will be called to fill the position, and in case of withdrawal, the other candidates will be called successively in order of ranking.

Validity

The result of the competition will be published on the website of the Embassy of Brazil in Tirana and will be valid for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of announcement of the result. Selected candidates will be called according to the classification points obtained whenever a vacancy occurs.

Contract regime

a) The employment contract stipulates a 3-month probationary period and will be signed as soon as the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs approves the results of the competition. The contract will only be valid when the requirements listed in paragraph 2, items d), e), f), and g, as well as paragraph h) (for Brazilians), are met;

b) The selected candidate will be invited to take up the position. If accepted, the contract will be signed on a date set by the Brazilian Embassy in Tirana;

c) The contract will be governed by Albanian legislation, for a period not exceeding 12 months, including a probationary period of three months. d) The employee will receive a gross monthly salary of Lek 116,447.00 (one hundred and sixteen thousand four hundred forty-seven Albanian Leke);

d) The Embassy will withhold from the employee's gross salary all mandatory contributions and taxes in accordance with Albanian law;

e) The workload is 40 hours per week.
