Vacant position: Laboratory Technician
Place of Work: FerroChrome Plant, Elbasan
Term of employment: Unlimited
Job Purpose:
E-Conduct various tests and analysis on Raw Materials, Auxiliary Materials, In-Process Products and finished Products to determine their chemical composition by utilization of various methodologies, equipment and instruments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive, register and label samples of Raw Materials, Auxiliary Materials, Semi-products and final products
• Get involved or perform sampling and preparation processes when necessary and required in order to provide accurate quality evaluation for inhouse materials and products.
• Prepare the samples for testing in accordance with internal methods or standard operation procedures for each methodology.
• Sample preparation involves: crushing, mixing, splitting, pulverizing, homogenizing, pressing, Fusion, Melting etc.
• Execute Tests and analysis on samples in accordance with quality control procedures, laboratory standard operation procedures and instructions, by means of using a variety of laboratory equipment and instruments, such as: WD-XRF, Carbon & Sulphur Analyzer, Pressed Pellet Preparation Machine, Sample Mixer and Homogenizer, Jaw Crushers, Sample Splitters, Mills and Pulverization Mills.
• Assist in all daily activities, fulfill Record and report all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility according ISO 17025:2017.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot or report on any malfunctions
• Maintain an organized workplace and clean equipment and instruments
• Archive tested samples in accordance with laboratory standard operation procedure
• Strictly follow all safety guidelines at all times
• Performing other functional and position related tasks as may be reasonably assigned by direct superior

Kualifikimet

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES:

• Bachelor Degree in Chemistry / High School diploma
• Previous experience in similar positions is an advantage

• Excellent communication skills, possess work ethics and integrity;
• Very good interpersonal skills;

• Very good computer skills, especially MS Projects and MS Office packages;
